Hey everyone,

The score for Feeding Randy has officially been recorded and has since moved on to the mixing stage. We'd like to thank everyone involved for giving our film an emotional center. We'd especially like to thank the amazingly talented Sarah Hicks for conducting, as well as Steve Weise of Creation Audio for recording. We cannot believe how well things are wrapping up, and if everything goes as planned we'll have a finished product by the start of next year! Music, Posters, & Sound

Hey friends,

With the final edit officially in the can, co-director Travis Anderson has begun toiling away at composing the musical score. With a twenty-piece orchestra we hope to evoke a more classical style of filmmaking. This phase of our production will utilize some of the best sound and music talent in the state, many from professional organizations such as the St. Paul Chamber and Minnesota Orchestras, as well as the Twin Cities’ jazz community.

Adam Flanagan is our graphic designer and he is currently putting the final touches on the official “Feeding Randy” Poster, featuring original artwork by local artist Matt Scharenbroich.

Our sound designer, Matthew Freed, has begun giving the film its atmospheric complexion through the designing and mixing of the audio. Because of the internal nature of the film, it requires a rich psychological audio landscape to help create a mood of tension and isolation.

There’s plenty more to see before the film is released so please be sure to check in here for all of the latest happenings. Here are a few things you can expect to see in the near future…

STATUS UPDATE!

Hey everybody!

Alright, we've been a tad bit lax keeping you up to date on the status of "Feeding Randy”… Okay a lot bit lax, and for that we apologize. But that's all about to change because we have a lot of really cool things happening right now, all at once, and we're very excited to share them with you.

But first...

Many of you have wondering when the film is going to be released, and we can finally say, with confidence, that “Feeding Randy” will be finished by the fall of this year. While we haven’t nailed down an official date, we do plan to unveil the film locally (Twin Cities) before subsequently running the festival circuit. So be sure to check in here periodically for further updates regarding the film’s release, and our big premiere event!

In the thick of ADR...

Because even the best boom operator can't rid a location of heavy background noise (traffic, generators, etc.), there exists the "Automated Dialog Replacement" stage of filmmaking. This post-production phase is commonly referred to as "looping." It involves calling back all of your talented actors and actresses, placing them in a booth with a mic and a playback screen where they re-record the dialog, hopefully maintaining or enhancing the original performance. This can be a very painstaking, but very rewarding process. But don't take my word for it...
